POLICY FOR RECEIPT OF MEMORIALS 

The following is a list of funds available for designating memorials to Chisago Lake Lutheran Church (CLLC).  Should you wish to designate to a specific ministry, organization, or project within one of the funds, CLLC will do its best to honor this designation.  The administration of these funds, including all disbursements, is subject to the control of the Church Council.  If the ministry, organization, or project has been discontinued or has reached its goal, CLLC reserves the right to use the memorial in another area under the same fund as the original designation.  Donors will not be permitted to recover a contribution on the grounds that the church failed to honor the donor’s recommendation.

WORSHIP AND MUSIC FUND

The Worship and Music Fund is a fund to provide resources to CLLC to create varied nurturing worship services that welcome the young and the old, the new Christian and the seasoned believer, the traditionalist and the adventurer. 

 CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FUND

 The Christian Education Fund is a fund to provide resources to CLLC for education opportunities for people of all ages and all levels of spiritual awareness.  This fund includes the Adult Education Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Bible Studies, and the church library.

 YOUTH AND CONFIRMATION FUND

 The Youth and Confirmation fund is a fund to provide resources to CLLC to help our young people establish a living relationship with God and a life-style of discipleship in the Lord, Jesus Christ.  Youth are given opportunities to serve others and enjoy fellowship with their peers and adults in the congregation. 

WOMEN OF THE ELCA FUND

 The Women of the ELCA fund is a fund to provide resources to CLLC to help with special mission projects such as quilting and midwife kits.

ALTAR FUND

 The Altar fund is a fund to provide resources to CLLC for sanctuary needs.

BUILDING FUND

 The Building Fund is a fund to provide resources to CLLC for major repairs, major remodeling, expansion, or construction of facilities for CLLC. 

 The church recognizes that planning for future needs is a practice of good stewardship and has established this fund as an ongoing fund.  At any time in the future, the CLLC congregation reserves the right to close this fund and reallocate any remaining money in the fund.  This can occur at a CLLC Annual or Special held meeting.

 PROPERTY AND GROUNDS FUND

 The Property and Grounds Fund is a fund to provide resources for the church to maintain the church buildings, grounds, and equipment.

 CEMETERY FUND

 The Cemetery Fund is a fund to provide resources to CLLC to maintain the church cemeteries.

CAMPERSHIP FUND

 The campership fund is a fund to provide opportunities for children, youth and adults to attend Bible camps and Retreats.

 CHISAGO LAKE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH SCHOLARSHIP FUND

 This scholarship fund is a fund to provide scholarship grants to current members or children of current members of CLLC for higher education and vocational training.

 GENERAL FUND

 This fund is a fund to provide resources to pay for the operating expenses of the church and enable the church to fulfill its missions and ministries.

 UNDESIGNATED FUND 

The Undesignated Fund has been established to receive memorials that have not been designated to any of the above funds.
