Our Philosophy of Ministry:
*A ministry that reflects the entirety of Christian Life.
*A ministry that is in keeping with the mission and traditions of the ELCA and Chisago Lake Lutheran church.
*A ministry that reflects quality, integrity, and maturity in all of its aspects.
*A ministry that is cross-cultural, diverse and open.
*A ministry that will reach people of all ages and all levels of spiritual maturity.
*A ministry that maintains the liturgical traditions of the ELCA.
*A ministry that calls the laity to use their gifts of the spirit in worship.

Senior Choir (all are welcome, no auditions), small ensembles, vocal soloists, instrumentalists, pianists, accompanists.

Individuals assist in leading worship with the singing and speaking of liturgy and psalms.

Members of the Altar Guild are grateful servants: Servants of God, servants of God’s people, servants of the liturgy and servants of the worship space. We are entrusted with the privilege of preparing the worship space for a gathering of god’s people. This ministry is important to our worship life. The overall goal is to see that the worship space is kept beautiful and in good order.

In our church we are given one month of each year to serve on the Altar guild. Each month we prepare and clean up communion for the first and third Sundays; if there is a Baptism we prepare the font, the Christ candle, the napkin, candle, book and flower; during a wedding the paraments may need changing and the isle standards to be put up and taken down; and during Holy Week we all participate in the stripping of the altar. the Altar Guild Coordinator is Judy Nelson feel free to contact her if you are interested in being a part of the Altar Guild.

Volunteers read the scripture lessons for each service. Individuals may sign-up at anytime to be included in the cycle of readers.

Youth assist in the lighting of candles, offering and communion.  The acolytes also assist with the processional at special services and are part of the Sacrament of Baptism.

Individuals assist during each Sunday service.

Join in on the opportunity to greet people as they gather for worship.

Those interested in video camera work can find just the opportunity to be a part of each Sunday. Sunday services are video taped as part of the outreach ministry to those unable to attend services. Contact Gordy Meland if you are interested in helping with this ministry.

This team meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  Many details, of the worship services, are taken care of by this committee.
