 What:  3 yr. Old Teddy Bear Beginner Party

Where:  Chisago Lake Lutheran Church

When:  Thursday, September 9^th

Time:  6:30pm

 Parents,

What an exciting time it is when your son/daughter is old enough to begin Sunday school.  It also can be a little scary.  To help our newest students feel more comfortable, you are invited to join us on Thursday, September 9^th for our Teddy Bear Beginner Party.

 On this evening, we will begin with a little game, you will meet your teacher and the other kids in your class plus receive some very important parent information.  One item your child will  go home with is their own backpack to not only help transport lessons and projects home with them, but to also have ready for the Blessing of the Backpacks which will take place on Rally Sunday, September 12 at the 11am service.

So, mark your calendars and we will see you soon!  If you have any questions, please call Cathy at 257-6300 ext. 14

 11:00 am—Current worship

 Christian Education Classes

10:30am— Teachers meet students in classroom

for introduction time

 Teacher Installation -

9:45am & 11:00am Worship Service

Backpack Blessing

11:00am Worship Service

 Potluck Picnic & Carnival

 12:00noon

 Bring a Salad or Dessert to share. 

Everything else—chicken, cob corn, drink and

paper products will be provided.

 We suggest you also bring lawn chairs.

Suggested Donation: $20 per family

Sunday School Kickoff

Sunday, September 12^th

 for ages 3 years through 5^th grade.

At 10:30 am you will have

an opportunity to meet

your teacher,

see your classroom

and reconnect with your classmates!

 *Parents please note that your child must be 3years old by September 1, 2010

Blessing of the Backpack

Bring your backpacks to church  for a special school blessing.

Blessing of the backpacks will take place during the

      11:00am services on Rally Sunday, September 12^th.    

You will also be receiving a special

gift from the congregation!

Committee Meeting

First Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.

Meetings are held in the main office conference room and usually last about an hour.

All are welcome.
